How should we dress for our family session?
The best advice is to choose clothes that you feel comfortable in, and that are simple and neutral as possible. Choose clothes without an illustration, text or logo on. For adults, one plain colour is best – although bear in mind that plain black or white clothes don't photograph that well.
What’s the best time to have a session for young children?
Mid-morning or mid-afternoon (after a nap) are often the best times, except in the middle of summer when mid-afternoon can be a very hot, uncomfortable time of day for little kids. Weekdays or Saturday mornings can be great, but weekday availability is generally much easier to find in our calendar.
PREP FOR CAKE SMASH SESSION
A cake smash session is a fun and joyful way to commemorate this milestone in your child’s life. Take this opportunity to capture your child’s delight as they tear into their first real taste of sugar!
Cake Smash sessions last about 30 minutes to 2 hour depending of your package. In the beginning I will take milestone pictures, in which I capture the personality of your little one alone. Next we will jump to cake smash outfit before introducing the cake. Once we bring in the cake, the photo session takes approximately 10 minutes. We let your baby set the pace, as some little ones dig right in and destroy the cake, and others need a little bit of encouragement and sometimes even help to get into their cake.
All packages come with outfit for the smash part, if you choose to bring smash outfit make sure it will go with the theme of the cake smash. For Signature and Luxe collection you can brining additional outfit for Classic look session
